Call for Applications: Santam Graduate Programme 2027

Overview

Santam, a general insurer in Southern Africa and part of the Sanlam Group, is accepting applications for its 2027 Graduate Programme in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. The programme lasts 24 months and mixes formal learning, hands-on work in specialised areas of short-term insurance, mentorship and leadership exposure. Santam serves more than one million policyholders, including individuals, commercial enterprises, specialist businesses and institutions, and has interests in emerging markets in Africa and Asia. What you get

The first 100 days feature a structured onboarding with accredited learning modules. Graduates build what Santam calls FutureFit competencies: creativity and problem-solving, analytical thinking, resilience, navigating ambiguity and complexity, and digital fluency. They also receive leadership development, technical experience matched to their background, and mentoring and coaching from subject-matter experts through business-driven learning projects. No salary figure is given.

Who can apply

Applicants must be between 22 and 30 years old, have no more than one year of work experience, and hold a relevant degree. Eligible fields are finance, commerce or risk; computer science, data science or information systems; actuarial science or mathematical statistics; industrial, electrical or mechanical engineering; and law. Postgraduates, including Honours graduates, are eligible. Candidates should show potential and motivation to develop in insurance and financial services.
