Overview

BRAC is recruiting a Manager, Communications for its Pooled Fund programme. BRAC is one of the world's largest international development organizations, founded in Bangladesh and working with more than 100 million people living with poverty and inequality across Asia and Africa. Its programmes cover education, healthcare, livelihoods, humanitarian response, financial inclusion, youth empowerment, climate resilience and women's economic empowerment.

The manager leads communication activities for the Pooled Fund, working with programme leadership to build communication strategies, strengthen donor visibility and showcase programme achievements. The role also involves collaboration with technical teams, grants specialists, monitoring and evaluation staff, communications colleagues and donor representatives.

What the role involves

The manager develops and carries out strategic communication and outreach plans and leads multichannel campaigns across digital and traditional platforms. They produce reports, success stories, newsletters, presentations and other materials, coordinate media engagement and publicity, and oversee branding and visibility in line with donor guidelines.

Other duties include supporting high-level field visits and stakeholder events, creating digital content such as videos, infographics, social media posts, podcasts and educational materials, maintaining website content, running orientation sessions on branding and communication standards, and working with programme teams on public engagement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Applicants need a Master's degree in journalism, communications, English, public relations, marketing or another relevant discipline, and at least four years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, strategic communication or media management. Strong writing, editing, storytelling and presentation skills are expected, along with experience in donor-funded projects, NGOs or international development organizations.

Excellent communication in English and Bangla is required, as are advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
