AIDA Coordination of Operations Job 2026: Remote Opportunity in Latin America and the Caribbean
Overview
The Asociacion Interamericana para la Defensa del Ambiente (AIDA) is seeking a Coordinator of Operations, a remote, full-time position for candidates living in countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. The role suits an experienced operations, administration or organisational management professional who can strengthen systems, improve processes and manage technology across an international organisation. The post reports to the Chief Financial Officer and supervises the Operations and Administration Specialist. Working hours are 7.5 hours per day, and compensation is negotiable based on experience. What you will do
The coordinator improves operational and administrative systems, policies and processes by finding bottlenecks, building practical solutions, documenting procedures and setting performance indicators. The role leads cross-functional improvement initiatives and supports change when new systems or ways of working are introduced. It also covers planning and improving technology tools, working with external providers, promoting good information management, cybersecurity and continuity, and following developments in artificial intelligence. The coordinator oversees procurement and supplier relationships, contracts, provider performance, the operational budget for technology, offices and administrative services, insurance policies and leases, and works with the Finance, Human Resources and Programmes teams. Supervision includes encouraging collaboration, documentation, knowledge sharing and professional development.
Requirements
Applicants need at least six years of relevant experience in operations, administration or organisational management, experience leading process improvement and implementing systems, supervising staff and coordinating cross-functional projects, and knowledge of administration, procurement, supplier management and contract administration. Strong organisational, planning, communication and project management skills are needed, along with experience with tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Box and Ramp. Professional Spanish and English are essential. Nonprofit experience, technology projects, digital transformation, cybersecurity or distributed teams are advantages.
