Fika is hiring a full-time IT Security Specialist to protect its systems, networks, applications, devices and data from cyber threats. What the role involves
The specialist identifies, assesses and documents information security risks and recommends controls. Security operations work includes monitoring systems, investigating alerts, responding to incidents, running vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, keeping security documentation, reporting to senior IT management and delivering security awareness training. Governance duties include maintaining security policies, standards and procedures, supporting audits and developing the IT Security Roadmap. The role also covers securing firewalls, VPNs, networks and devices, including mobile-device and patch management and encryption, and cloud security across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure, AWS, Box and Salesforce.
Who can apply
Applicants need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related IT field and at least three years of hands-on experience in IT or network security. They should know network protocols, firewalls and VPNs, encryption, monitoring tools, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, Windows and macOS, cloud environments and security frameworks, with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, CISA, CISM or GIAC are preferred, as are scripting, incident response, digital forensics or NGO experience.
