UNICEF Digital Learning Consultant Job 2026 (Remote/Home-Based)
Overview
UNICEF is recruiting a Digital Learning Consultant for its People and Culture Centre, supporting global learning and talent development. The consultancy lasts 12 months and is remote or home-based, with the role linked to Copenhagen, Denmark. The consultant works closely with the Talent Management team and supports UNICEF's Supply Division by developing digital learning resources and online training programmes for staff across more than 190 countries and territories.
The work covers learning needs assessments, designing and developing online courses and interactive e-learning content with digital authoring tools, and loading material into UNICEF's Learning Management System, Agora, including building and managing learning pages. The consultant also supports subject matter experts during course development, helps with translation and accessibility, monitors and evaluates learning initiatives, reports on learning outcomes, and advises internal stakeholders on instructional design and online learning practice.
Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor's degree in instructional design, adult learning, learning technologies or online and distance education. Degrees in social sciences, media and design, arts, human resources, business administration, project management or related fields may be considered with relevant professional experience. Certifications in instructional design or learning technologies are an advantage.
At least 5 years of professional experience in instructional design is needed, including managing the full production cycle of e-learning courses, conducting learning needs analysis and designing digital learning solutions in multicultural settings. Experience with Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, video production software and learning management systems such as Agora, Moodle and Totara is expected. UN or UNICEF experience is highly desirable. Excellent English is required, and French, Spanish or Arabic is an advantage.
