Overview
The UNDP Pakistan Human Rights Internship Programme 2026 is a three-month professional placement under its second cohort, designed to provide practical experience in human rights, governance, public policy, and research. Supported by the United Nations Development Programme Pakistan in collaboration with the School of Leadership Foundation and the Ministry of Human Rights, the initiative forms part of the EU-funded Huqooq-e-Pakistan II project. Participants gain exposure to institutional processes, evidence-based research, policy documentation, and human rights protection within government institutions, human rights bodies, and civil society organisations.
Who can apply
Applicants must be current university students or recent graduates. Furthermore, eligibility is strictly restricted to individuals enrolled at or who have recently graduated from one of seven designated institutions: Bahria University in Islamabad, Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad, University of Peshawar, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore College for Women University, Habib University in Karachi, or the University of Balochistan in Quetta.
