Intern Electrical R&D Engineer

Overview

Secheron S Dot A is offering an internship position for an Electrical R&D Engineer within its Electrical Safety Solutions unit, based in Satigny, Geneva, Switzerland. The duration of the internship is at least 6 months, offering participants the chance to join an innovative development project focused on AC medium voltage devices. Who can apply

Applicants must be in their final year as a master student or be a recent graduate in electrical engineering. Mandatory qualifications include fluency in English and completed coursework in finite element analysis. Additional preferred qualifications include fluency in French and hands-on experience or relevant projects related to high voltage components such as bushings, switchgear, insulators, or cables.

What you get

The internship provides hands-on involvement in a development project for AC medium voltage devices. Main tasks include providing technical design inputs for high voltage insulators and circuit breakers, developing finite element models, performing simulations, documenting results, reviewing drawings, providing feedback, verifying bills of materials, conducting patent searches, summarizing findings, assisting during tests, and writing reports.
