Overview

The International Communities Organisation is seeking a volunteer to support digital engagement, public outreach, and communications activities. Volunteers will work alongside the team to improve public recognition of initiatives operating in the United Kingdom and internationally.

Who can apply

This opportunity is suited for individuals interested in communications, marketing, public relations, media, community engagement, international development, human rights, advocacy, or the charity sector. Applicants should have zero to two years of experience and possess strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Participants are expected to commit approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, with working hours arranged in advance. Responsibilities include preparing and organizing communications materials, gathering information for the 10 Years of ICO project, scheduling digital content, distributing Mailchimp campaigns, drafting press releases and news updates, and conducting online research. Working arrangements are flexible and can be remote or hybrid as agreed with the organization.
