Credit Analyst Intern (Jan 2027)
Overview
Lendable, a UK fintech that builds technology to help people get credit and save money, is offering a 12-week Credit Analyst Internship in London starting on 5 January 2027. The company has more than 800 employees, has been profitable since 2017 and is backed by investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs. It has rebuilt loans, credit cards and car finance from scratch and is targeting the UK and US markets.
The internship is built for early-career professionals from any background who want to test the credit analyst role before committing to a change. Interns who perform strongly may be offered a permanent Credit Analyst role at the end of the programme. The salary is 48,000 pounds per year.
What you will do
The intern uses analytical and problem-solving skills to draw insights from data and drive changes in strategy. Work includes using data and modelling to set assumptions for the NPV model, such as predicted future default rates, which inform lending decisions, and using analytics to decide who to lend to and how much, and how that changes with the economy and competition. The intern also runs hypothesis tests to change practice in lending strategy, pricing and fraud detection, presents findings to senior leaders and works with the product and tech team to get changes implemented.
Requirements
Coding skills in Python or SQL are required. Candidates should love working with numbers every day, be able to analyse complex data sets and draw insights, be naturally curious about how things work and have a startup mindset suited to a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
How to apply
The interview process starts with a 15-minute online test and a coding take-home task, followed by a 60-minute video task debrief, a 60-minute video case study, and an in-person stage with a 60-minute case study, a 15-minute culture conversation and a lunch with other recent graduates.
Key dates
The internship begins on 5 January 2027 and runs for 12 weeks.
