Climate Strategy & ESG Internship
Overview
Vestiaire Collective, a global platform for pre-loved fashion, is seeking a Climate Strategy and ESG Intern for its Paris office. The intern joins the Impact team and works directly with the Climate Strategy Lead. The team's goal is to make the company the most sustainable e-commerce marketplace and to change how people consume fashion.
The position is a hands-on support role covering the annual carbon footprint update, corporate ESG reporting and ongoing sustainability initiatives. It offers practical experience in corporate climate strategy and ESG data management, and the intern also contributes to Impact projects and research across the business.
What you will do
Tasks include supporting the annual carbon footprint update by collecting, cleaning and consolidating operational data from teams such as logistics, procurement and tech, and helping refine the avoided emissions model and its data. The intern gathers qualitative and quantitative information for annual ESG reporting and investor requests and supports the audit of the main Impact KPIs. Research and benchmarking cover climate initiatives, carbon accounting standards and topics such as circularity, the impact of AI and carbon credits. The role also contributes to operational projects including charity engagement, climate strategy roll-out, annual impact reporting, marketing campaigns and consumer studies, and keeps the team informed about news and legislation affecting the fashion, tech and logistics industries.
Who can apply
Applicants should be students at a business or engineering school or university who can sign an internship agreement. The company wants someone curious about sustainability with a good grasp of climate change, carbon footprint and circular economy concepts, strong analytical and spreadsheet skills, some first exposure to greenhouse gas accounting methods, and strong organisation and teamwork. Fluency in French and English is required, and SQL basics or data visualisation tools are a plus.
What you get
Benefits include work at scale on products used in more than 70 countries, an international team, a learning budget, a hybrid model with typically two remote days a week and two paid days per year for a cause of your choice. Compensation includes a bonus, health coverage, lunch vouchers and a gym pass, plus further legal perks depending on location.
