CARE Internship Job 2026: Gender-Based Violence Digital Standards Opportunity
Overview
CARE is offering a 10-week internship with its Humanitarian Affairs team in Washington, DC, supporting the Gender-Based Violence Digital Minimum Standards initiative. This inter-agency, CARE-led effort is in its first phase and aims to co-develop safety standards for technology used in violence against women and girls programming in humanitarian settings. CARE works in more than 100 countries to address poverty and inequality.
The internship is unpaid and offered for academic credit or volunteer purposes only. It requires about 8-10 hours per week, and no travel is involved. English is the working language.
What you do
The intern helps analyze consultation data gathered from more than 5,000 women and girls in seven humanitarian contexts. The evidence will inform the digital minimum standards. Duties include identifying key findings and thematic trends, preparing briefs that summarize consultation findings for stakeholders, and contributing to the global synthesis report, including data visualizations and outlines of findings from focus group discussions and key informant interviews.

Requirements
