Overview

Datadog, the observability and security platform, is offering an Applied Science internship in Paris. The intern joins a cross-functional group of engineers and applied scientists who build AI-powered features inside the Datadog platform. The work covers improving machine learning models, developing new AI capabilities and helping bring research into production, with chances to contribute to research that directly powers customer-facing features. Datadog operates as a hybrid workplace.

What you will do

The intern designs solutions for AI use cases by researching and benchmarking state-of-the-art models, and builds scalable product features using generative AI, machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques. Responsibilities also include contributing to the development, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of production AI models, services and infrastructure, exploring large-scale observability data to draw insights, presenting recent academic research and emerging model architectures to colleagues, and working with engineering and product teams to deliver customer-facing features.

Who can apply

Applicants will graduate in 2027 with a degree in machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistics, computer science or a related field. They should have built machine learning models through coursework, research, internships or personal projects, have strong programming skills, explain complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, and have a strong interest in AI and data-driven product development. The six-month internship must begin in February, March, April, May or June 2027.

What you get

Interns work on technical challenges alongside engineers around the world, take part in mentorship and buddy programmes, join an in-person intern cohort with social events and employee community groups, and may receive relocation support and travel benefits. Office perks include snacks, drinks and catered lunches on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

How to apply

The CV should be submitted in English.
