The European Master’s Programme in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Policy Analysis is an international postgraduate programme spanning two years and comprising 120 ECTS credits. The curriculum focuses on agricultural economics, food systems, environmental sustainability, and public policy, combining economic analysis with interdisciplinary studies. The programme is delivered through a partnership of four European institutions, consisting of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Italy, the University of Bonn in Germany, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Sweden, and Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. Students complete their studies across at least two of these partner universities and participate in an annual summer school, gaining exposure to different academic environments and international perspectives.

Who can apply

The programme accepts applications from eligible candidates worldwide and welcomes students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds, including economics, agriculture, environmental studies, and related disciplines. Its student community includes individuals from more than 50 countries. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the admission requirements to ensure their academic qualifications and professional interests align with the objectives of the programme.

What you get

Participants receive a specialized and interdisciplinary education designed to build theoretical knowledge and practical analytical skills for understanding agricultural markets, evaluating public policies, and developing evidence-based solutions. Graduates are prepared for professional pathways in international organizations, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, professional associations, research institutions, and private companies across roles such as agricultural and trade policy analysis, food systems analysis, environmental management, natural resource management, market research, and development planning. The programme also serves as a foundation for individuals interested in pursuing doctoral studies and research careers.
