University of Global Health Equity Master of Science in Health Professions Education Program (MSc-HPE) 2027
Overview
The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) Master of Science in Health Professions Education (MSc-HPE) 2027 prepares health educators and leaders to design, deliver and evaluate high-quality, innovative and equitable health professions programmes across Africa. This description covers the pathway fully funded by the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
The programme is designed for experienced educators and academic leaders who aim to shape national policy, lead institutions or contribute to the global education evidence base. It uses a blended model that combines online learning with intensive in-person sessions on UGHE's campus for hands-on practice, mentorship and networking. Graduates are prepared to work as educators, curriculum leaders, faculty developers, quality assurance champions and educational researchers, with an emphasis on workplace integration, policy engagement and leadership development. Every module weaves in global health equity, inclusive education and digital innovation. UGHE is the first university in Rwanda and its neighbouring countries to offer a full health professions education curriculum.
What you get
Participants join a growing community of educators across the continent, learn from UGHE faculty and international partners, and gain peer mentorship and access to new leadership pathways. Eligible professionals may qualify for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
