What you get
Tuition is fully covered, and the host university provides a monthly stipend. Winners can study in English or Russian depending on the program, use modern laboratories, receive job placement support including on-campus vacancies, and join the international student community. Travel, accommodation, food and insurance are the student's own responsibility.
Who can apply
Bachelor's applicants must have completed or be in the final year of secondary school. Master's applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree or be in their final undergraduate year. PhD applicants need a Master's degree or equivalent, a research proposal and readiness for an interview with potential supervisors. Postdoctoral applicants must already hold a Candidate of Science, Doctor of Science or PhD degree, and cannot apply while waiting to graduate.
How to apply
Applicants register online with an email address, entering personal details carefully because they cannot be edited later. They choose one or more subject areas, write a motivation letter for each, and upload a portfolio with proof of education, plus optional certificates, awards, language proof or publications.
Selection has stages: a jury evaluates the portfolio, then high scorers take an online problem-solving challenge in their subject, and PhD and postdoctoral candidates also have an online interview with potential supervisors. Winners and runners-up receive certificates in their personal account and then choose one university and one program.
