Overview

The Nanjing University Chinese Government Scholarship 2027 is a fully funded opportunity for international students to pursue postgraduate education in China. The program supports master's studies lasting two to three years and doctoral studies lasting three to four years at Nanjing University, which hosts a large international student community. There are no application fees or registration fees required to apply for this scholarship.

Who can apply

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health and must not currently be studying in China. Candidates applying for a master's degree must hold a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35. Those applying for a doctorate must hold a master's degree and be under the age of 40.

What you get

Selected participants receive comprehensive financial coverage provided by the Chinese Government Scholarship. The award covers full registration fees, tuition fees, free accommodation on campus, and health and medical insurance. Additionally, master's students receive a monthly stipend of RMB 3,000, while PhD students receive a monthly stipend of RMB 3,500.

Requirements

Applicants must submit a CSC online application form alongside the online application form from Nanjing University. Required documentation includes a clear scanned copy of a valid passport, authenticated higher diplomas, academic transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a proposed study program in China written in Chinese or English. Candidates must also provide a certificate of proficiency in Chinese or English, with exemptions available for those who studied at an English institute, as well as two copies of their highest diploma certificate, a non-criminal record issued within the past five months, and a copy of a physical examination form.

How to apply

The application process is conducted entirely online without the need to send hard copies. Applicants must complete the online application in the Nanjing University International Student Application System and fill out the Chinese Scholarship Council application form. Final results are communicated through email after receiving final approval from the CSC at the end of August.
