World Vision is recruiting a full-time Child and Community Impact Narrative and Data Specialist, a senior role focused on using data, artificial intelligence and storytelling to strengthen how the organisation communicates the impact of child sponsorship and development programmes worldwide. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian and development organisation working in nearly 100 countries with more than 31,000 staff.
The specialist helps shape World Vision's sponsorship impact intelligence ecosystem, linking child-level information, programme outcomes and storytelling to create credible, engaging experiences for sponsors and supporters. A central aim is moving from static reporting to dynamic, data-driven and AI-enabled storytelling. Duties include leading the design of integrated impact intelligence and narrative systems across markets, building a roadmap from legacy processes to AI-enabled systems, turning indicators into narrative building blocks, supporting AI-assisted storytelling pipelines including validation of generated content, and overseeing the collection, validation and delivery of sponsor-ready impact data. The role also helps integrate child monitoring with programme activity monitoring.

Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, engineering, mathematics, international development or an equivalent, and at least seven years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience building end-to-end data pipelines or automating data processes is needed, as is experience leading enterprise-scale data, digital transformation or impact intelligence initiatives. Preferred tools include Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint and Smartsheet, and Python, SQL, Bash, Prefect, Luigi, dbt or AWS can strengthen an application. Experience with generative AI prompt engineering, output validation and digital storytelling is valuable.
