Overview
UNICEF is seeking a Senior Data and Research International Consultant for the Office of the Regional Director, with Amman, Jordan as the duty station. Requirements
Applicants need a master's degree in economics, demography, statistics, epidemiology, engineering or a related technical field, with significant experience in measurement, quantitative analysis or research. At least 15 years of experience in data analytics and research is required, including household survey methodology, national data systems, child-focused surveys, MICS or similar programmes, research synthesis and methodological reviews.
Experience with UNICEF or other UN agencies on child-related Sustainable Development Goals is required, as is experience giving technical support to governments and UN country teams. Knowledge of child poverty measurement or multidimensional deprivation analysis is expected, and familiarity with MENA data environments is an asset. Excellent written English is essential.
