UNDP Technical Manager, TISFD 2026: Home-Based Part-Time Role in New York
Overview
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is recruiting a Technical Manager for the Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD) within its Sustainable Finance Hub. The post is home-based, part-time at 80 percent, under an International Personnel Service Agreement at grade IPSA-11 for nine months, with New York as the listed location (job identification 36630).
TISFD is a global multistakeholder initiative on reporting and managing inequality- and social-related risks, opportunities, impacts and dependencies, involving investors, businesses, labour organizations, civil society, policymakers, regulators, service providers and academia. The Taskforce is expected to publish its recommendations in December 2027.
What you will do
Working under the Technical Director, the manager coordinates research, analysis and technical deliverables, helps co-create the framework with the TISFD Alliance, Regional Councils, Knowledge Partners, Practice Groups and expert focus groups, and makes sure stakeholder feedback is reflected. The role includes drafting the disclosure framework, conceptual foundations, recommendations and guidance, supervising research associates, consultants and interns, advising on piloting across priority sectors and regions, and developing learning and capacity-building resources.
Requirements
Applicants need an advanced degree in business, economics, finance, international relations, international development or a related field. With a master's degree, at least 7 years of relevant experience is required; with a bachelor's degree, 9 years. Experience should relate to sustainability, responsible business, ESG investing, sustainable finance, business and human rights, social impact or social risk, including corporate or financial-sector sustainability reporting and social impact measurement. Knowledge of TCFD, TNFD, ESRS, GRI or ISSB is an advantage. Strong project management, systems thinking, negotiation, evidence-based analysis and stakeholder engagement skills are sought, and fluent English is required.
