Tiko Is Hiring: Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist | Remote | 8+ Years’ Experience

Overview

Tiko is hiring a full-time Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for its Evidence and Learning team, working remotely. The position is open to applicants based in Nigeria and South Africa and reports to the Director of Evidence and Learning. Tiko is an African nonprofit that strengthens the resilience of adolescent girls by connecting young women with local healthcare providers through a technology-enabled ecosystem, addressing unintended pregnancy, HIV infection and sexual and gender-based violence. It operates in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Burkina Faso, South Africa and Nigeria, with offices in Portugal, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and has more than 250 team members.

Requirements

The specialist develops and implements monitoring and evaluation systems, designs Theories of Change, frameworks, indicators, targets and baselines for programme design and donor proposals, and oversees collection, cleaning and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, working with the Data Analytics team and Health Information Systems such as DHIS2. The role includes data quality audits with Programme Managers, selecting quality assurance partners, training and field supervision, as well as producing reports, case studies and publications and training colleagues to use data.

Applicants need at least eight years of progressive experience in M&E in international development or public health, and a Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology or a related quantitative discipline. They should have strong skills in programming, statistical analysis and visualisation with tools such as Python, Stata, SPSS, KoboToolbox and Tableau, practical experience with DHIS2, experience managing research partners and field teams, and excellent communication.

What you get

Gross monthly pay, paid 12 times a year, is R63,189 to R78,986 in South Africa and ₦3,733,184 to ₦4,666,479 in Nigeria, depending on experience. Benefits include location-specific allowances, flexible remote or hybrid working, a €500 annual personal development budget and unlimited holiday days, subject to team coordination.
