Overview

The Authentic Asian is hiring for two full-time remote positions: Social Media Engagement Specialist and Community Manager. Both are open to new graduates, though relevant experience is an advantage. They are work-from-anywhere roles, but candidates must work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, with a stable internet connection and good camera, audio and lighting.

Social Media Engagement Specialist

This role handles conversations and community engagement on Instagram and LinkedIn. The specialist monitors and answers messages and comments, engages with members, applicants, partners and prospective members, follows up on unanswered inquiries and directs people to memberships, programs, events and resources. Other tasks include organising leads, tracking follow-ups, keeping to the organisation's communication style, helping schedule social posts and supporting administration.

Applicants need strong written English and professional communication, and experience in social media engagement, community management, customer support or inbox management is helpful. Working knowledge of tools such as Canva, ManyChat, Plann, Linktree, Slack, Airtable, Notion, Lovable and LinkedIn Business Manager is required. The pay is $12 USD per hour.

Community Manager

This role focuses on member experience, community operations and events. It covers member applications, onboarding, renewals and offboarding, answering member questions, building event pages on platforms such as Circle, Luma and Zoom, coordinating speakers, RSVPs and reminders, preparing announcements, and maintaining calendars, trackers and member records, working closely with the founder, team, partners and vendors.

Candidates need experience in community management, operations, administrative support or project management, strong organisation, clear English, attention to detail and initiative. Experience with Circle, Luma, Zoom, Airtable, Slack and Stripe is an advantage. Pay depends on location.
