The role involves working remotely with Inspiralia's proposal team and a consortium of eight partners to develop a Horizon Europe research proposal on geothermal resources in deep sedimentary and basement reservoirs, responding to the specific call on resource assessment for deep sedimentary and basement reservoirs. The assignment runs for approximately four weeks and concludes on 1 December 2026.

Who can apply

This opportunity is suited for researchers at the postdoctoral level who hold a PhD in geology. Candidates should possess strong scientific judgement, excellent written English, and the ability to synthesize complex research contributions into clear and persuasive text. While previous experience in writing funding proposals is welcome, it is not essential. Additional advantages include background experience in deep sedimentary or basement reservoirs, geothermal research, or related subsurface research.

Candidates need to demonstrate clear and persuasive scientific writing and be available for a concentrated period of writing and revision leading up to the submission deadline. Applicants are also required to manage agreed milestones and respond promptly to feedback.

How to apply

Interested candidates should submit a CV, a brief statement of relevant expertise and availability, and a short example of scientific writing via email to melanie.cohen@inspiralia.com.
