Overview

Team4Tech is hiring an AI in Education Program Director for a full-time, remote position based in the United States. Team4Tech is a global nonprofit working to widen access to quality education and improve socioeconomic mobility for learners in underserved communities. Over more than 14 years it has supported over 1,400 NGOs in 110 countries, reaching around 60 million under-resourced learners, in support of UN Sustainable Development Goal 4. In the past two years it has run 10 generative AI capacity-building cohorts for more than 80 NGOs in over 20 countries.

The director would expand this AI programming by scoping and managing education technology projects, leading NGO training cohorts and working with corporate and philanthropic partners. Duties include leading technical assistance projects that help community-based NGOs in low-income countries use AI, designing AI readiness assessments covering technical and pedagogical preparedness, running training cohorts, managing skilled volunteer projects from needs identification to evaluation, analysing programme data for reporting and planning, and maintaining relationships with NGOs, partners and volunteers.

Requirements

The organisation seeks five or more years of experience in educational technology programme management, ideally leading technology strategy in an education setting, plus direct experience with AI for education in low-resource settings and an understanding of how large language models and adaptive learning platforms support teaching. Experience developing AI training content or advising on AI implementation is valued. Candidates should be at ease across cultures and working with NGOs and teachers in low- and middle-income countries, and should accept 20 to 30 percent international travel each year. A master's degree in a field such as international development, public policy or educational technology is preferred, as is experience managing multi-stakeholder partnerships. Spanish is a plus. Team4Tech cannot provide U.S. employment sponsorship at present.

What you get

The salary is $80,000 to $115,000 per year depending on experience and geographic location. Benefits include a health insurance stipend, an internet stipend, unlimited leave and voluntary 401(k) contributions.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted through the organisation's Breezy HR portal, and only portal submissions are considered. Applicants should tailor their CV to show experience in AI, education technology, programme management and international development.

Key dates

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with preference for those received by Monday, September 7, 2026. The desired start date is November 2, 2026.
