Overview

Wayve is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join its Data Enrichment Platform Team in London, United Kingdom. The organization builds embodied intelligence for real vehicles and scalable autonomy platforms. In this role, the engineer will own the technical vision, architecture, and long-term direction of the end-to-end Data Enrichment Platform, combining hands-on backend development with cross-team technical leadership to help model engineers deploy, run, and evaluate machine-learning models across petabytes of driving data and large GPU fleets.

Requirements

Applicants need strong production software-engineering experience in Python, building maintainable, tested, and observable backend services, APIs, and data-processing systems. Candidates should have a background in owning the long-term technical direction of a complex, multi-system platform, along with deep experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems for data-intensive or compute-intensive workloads. A successful track record of turning internal platforms into widely adopted self-service products and remaining hands-on while leading delivery across organizational boundaries is also required. Relevant background in workflow orchestration, batch inference, machine learning platforms, dataset catalogues, or production robotics and computer-vision platforms serves as an advantage.
