Overview

Gleanwork is hiring a Solutions Engineer to join the go-to-market organisation within the United Kingdom and Ireland region. Based in London, this position functions as a trusted technical advisor supporting the local sales team, partners, and customers as they embark on Generative AI initiatives. The role involves guiding technical delivery and ensuring the success of sales opportunities by connecting the Glean platform to major decision-making systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Slack, GitHub, and Zendesk. Visa sponsorship may be offered for suitable candidates.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical work experience. Candidates need a minimum of five years of experience in enterprise software pre-sales alongside familiarity with value-based discovery frameworks. The position requires strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as the capacity to translate complex technical concepts into accessible terms for various audiences.

Candidates should also bring familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as identity services and Single Sign-On providers like Okta and Azure or Entra ID using protocols such as SAML, SCIM, and OIDC. Additional necessary knowledge includes working with APIs for data transmission and troubleshooting, and understanding security concepts such as SSL and TLS, VPNs, firewalls, proxies, WAFs, and DLP. Comfort with both virtual and in-person presentations is required.

What you do

The Solutions Engineer is responsible for delivering interactive platform demonstrations to prospective clients and explaining the architecture of the Glean solution relative to the customer landscape. Responsibilities include scoping and executing sponsored Proof of Value and pilot exercises to validate technical requirements and business goals, training partners and customers, and presenting at events such as AWS re:Invent and Google Cloud Next. Additionally, the role bridges the gap with internal engineering and product management teams by reporting issues, submitting feature requests, and tracking product roadmaps.
