Overview

Solidaridad Network is an international civil society organization that works on sustainable solutions in agriculture, food systems, climate and responsible business, together with partners, communities, companies and governments. It is hiring a Junior IT Specialist to support its global technology operations. The role works closely with the global data specialist and regional IT teams to keep technology secure, efficient and reliable. The work arrangement is flexible, either hybrid or fully remote, in countries where Solidaridad has offices.

Responsibilities cover system and network administration, including restructuring and improving Google Workspace, setting up standardized Shared Drives and folder structures, handling account creation and removal, managing access permissions, monitoring backups and running restoration tests. The specialist also supports IT security and compliance, including security policies, GDPR and data privacy requirements, and technical documentation, and provides global helpdesk support, including to the Executive Director's office.

Requirements

Candidates need a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, systems engineering or a related field, with 2 to 3 years of experience in IT administration, helpdesk support or network security. They should know the Google Workspace Admin Console, access control and Shared Drive governance, backup solutions and user access management, and be familiar with Salesforce and Certinia, GDPR and information security practice. Strong English is required, and Spanish, Portuguese or French is an advantage. The organization values problem solving, proactive risk management, cross-cultural collaboration and attention to documentation.
