Overview

Simprints, a nonprofit technology company working in global development, is hiring a remote Senior Technical Product Manager in its Product and Engineering department. The post is UK Grade IC6 with a salary of 60,000 to 70,000 pounds. Simprints builds biometric technology that helps organisations accurately identify people receiving health, aid and financial services, and reports work in more than 17 countries reaching more than 4 million people, including maternal health and HIV tracing programmes.

The product manager speaks for customers, helping the organisation understand their experiences and needs and taking problems from identification through to delivery. Duties include coordinating dependencies between mobile and cloud engineering teams, gathering customer insight through field visits, user interviews and market research, supporting backlog prioritisation, reviewing product performance, working with Engineering Managers, helping engineering teams gain autonomy, watching industry trends and promoting customer-centred practice.

Who can apply

Simprints seeks at least five years of experience as a Product Manager in an agile environment, with experience on mobile or cloud-based products and a strong technical background. Candidates should be able to discuss technical concepts with engineers, designers, operational managers and external stakeholders, manage product roadmaps, use issue trackers such as JIRA or YouTrack, and communicate well across teams.
