Overview

The Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative is offering a full-time, senior-level position as a Senior Strategic Philanthropy Manager, Science and Innovation. This role is a two-year fixed-term contract focused on leading major philanthropic partnerships, developing new funding opportunities, and building relationships with international foundations and strategic donors to support global health research.

The position is home-based and fully remote, though it is specifically located within the United Kingdom. Applicants residing outside the UK must confirm their eligibility under the employer's location and employment arrangements prior to submitting an application.

Requirements

Applicants are required to hold an advanced degree in global health, a relevant scientific discipline, or a related field, though equivalent professional experience may be considered. Candidates must possess at least 12 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of five years managing major philanthropic foundation partnerships. A proven track record of securing, renewing, or growing substantial philanthropic funding is essential.

Candidates must also demonstrate experience in managing complex partnerships involving senior and technical stakeholders, as well as the ability to translate scientific and global health research into compelling funding propositions. Necessary skills include excellent proposal writing, communication, presentation, reporting, and strategic judgment. Strong digital skills, including familiarity with customer relationship management systems and Microsoft Office applications, are required alongside fluency in the English language.
