Senior Software Engineer (Elite Motorsport)

Overview

Catapultsports is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Motorsport development team based in London, United Kingdom. The role involves developing new capabilities within the RaceWatch software suite, with a particular focus on endurance racing strategy and expanding products into new racing series. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment and providing technical leadership and mentorship to other team members. Visa sponsorship may be offered for suitable candidates.

Requirements

Applicants must have five or more years of experience working in a fast-paced technical environment delivering software to customers, along with a proven track record of building applications in C and C plus plus. Candidates need experience in developing, scaling, and supporting products throughout their entire lifecycle, an aptitude for working with complex data, and strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical staff and customers. Additional expectations include a willingness to go above and beyond for the customer, the ability to help cover live motorsport events at weekends on a rotational basis with the team, and the capacity to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. A passion for motorsport is required, while a degree in computer science or another scientific or technical subject, prior experience in motorsport, familiarity with Catapult RaceWatch, experience with JIRA or Monday, experience developing Windows applications in Visual Studio, and experience processing video are noted as helpful assets.
