Overview

The Nature Positive Initiative (NPI) is looking for a remote Senior Executive Assistant and HR Coordination professional to support its Executive Chair and coordinate human resources and Secretariat administration. NPI works to address the global loss of biodiversity and ecosystems and aims to align organisations behind halting and reversing nature loss by 2030, bringing together environmental organisations, sustainable business platforms, research institutions, standards bodies, Indigenous knowledge representatives and local government agencies.

The assistant manages the Executive Chair's calendar and forward planning, coordinates meetings with internal and external stakeholders, prepares agendas and briefing materials, arranges travel and accommodation, processes travel and expense items, screens correspondence, coordinates with the NPI team and the Executive Director, manages vendor and consultant relationships, maintains electronic filing, handles mailing lists and CRM information and supports major events. On the HR side, the post supports the Secretariat's HR activities with the Executive Chair, the Executive Director, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and the relevant Safeguard teams, including coordinating annual performance appraisals, supporting Cost of Living Adjustments and managing consultancy staff contracts.

Who can apply

Applicants need a secretarial or administration diploma from a commercial college or another relevant qualification and about 8 to 10 years of experience supporting C-level executives. Strong organisation, business judgement, diplomacy, discretion, problem-solving, communication and the ability to work independently are required, along with excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Strong verbal and written English and French are needed. Candidates must hold a valid work permit in their country of residence, and applicants based in Europe are preferred.
