ASM is seeking a Senior Engineer Product Intelligence with a focus on Materials Engineering, Chemistry, and Thin Film Design. The role involves developing practical, science-grounded machine learning solutions for semiconductor applications and materials science.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a PhD or MSc with strong expertise in Computer Science, Data Science, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field. Candidates need six or more years of experience applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, or computational methods to complex scientific or engineering problems.

The position requires hands-on experience building machine learning models, tools, and frameworks for materials science, along with practical knowledge of atomistic to feature scale artificial intelligence tools and frameworks such as generative, deterministic, and stochastic models, as well as active learning and reinforcement learning. Candidates should be proficient in Python and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or scikit-learn. Furthermore, applicants must have the ability to translate physical, chemical, and engineering challenges into practical workflows and possess relevant experience in semiconductor materials engineering or related chemistry and materials systems.
