Vision To Learn is hiring a Senior Development Officer to strengthen its fundraising and donor engagement. The job is full-time and remote, and can be done from anywhere in the United States. It reports to the Chief Growth Officer. The organization works to improve access to vision care for children in low-income communities.
The officer manages an assigned portfolio of individual donors, foundations and corporate partners, and supports senior leaders, including the President and CEO and board members, with priority relationships.

Requirements
Applicants need a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree or professional credential in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, business or a related field preferred. At least five years of fundraising and development experience is required, including direct responsibility for donor stewardship, portfolio management and donor communications. Candidates must also have moves management experience, excellent writing and editing skills, strong organisation and project management, and proficiency with a development CRM, with Salesforce preferred. Experience with major gifts, foundations or corporate philanthropy is strongly preferred.
Although the work is remote, the person must be willing to travel regularly for donor visits, site visits, regional events and organizational meetings, and must be able to work independently within a distributed team.
Responsibilities include creating personalized stewardship plans, coordinating donor meetings, briefings, site visits and events, preparing leaders for donor interactions, and moving prospects through identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, renewal and upgrades. The role also involves writing acknowledgments, thank-you letters, impact updates, proposals and reports, keeping the CRM accurate, and supporting grant proposals and reports by gathering input from programme, finance and operations teams.
