Research Assistant

Overview

The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint two Research Assistants within the James Watt School of Engineering. These positions involve contributing to a project titled AUTOWyrm, which focuses on developing a new robotic platform, under the supervision of Dr Kevin Worrall.

What you get

The available posts are part-time at 17.5 hours per week and are offered on a fixed-term contract with funding available for up to one year in the first instance. The salary ranges from £33,951 to £37,694 per annum. Current employees of the University of Glasgow may be considered for an internal secondment opportunity, subject to line manager clearance for release prior to a formal application.

Requirements

Appointees are expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals. Additionally, successful candidates will help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
