Overview

The Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH) is recruiting for three full-time, fixed-term positions in its Oxford, United Kingdom, and Nairobi, Kenya offices. RLRH is based at the Oxford Department of International Development and works to advance refugee leadership, higher education access and career opportunities for people affected by forced displacement. Its Professional Pathways Pillar works with universities, employers, research institutions, NGOs and the private sector to widen access to employment and professional development across Africa and globally. The organisation strongly encourages applications from people with lived experience of displacement and from historically underrepresented communities.

The positions

The Administrative Assistant is based in Oxford on a full-time contract until 31 August 2027. The post coordinates day-to-day operations and administration, including travel, HR processes, contracts, records and organisational systems, supporting colleagues in RLRH's global offices. Applicants should have experience giving high-quality administrative support in a fast-paced setting, preferably in higher education, research or the charity sector, with strong organisation, attention to detail, digital skills, numeracy, initiative and cultural humility.

The Partnerships Manager (Professional Pathways Pillar) is based in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, on a 12-month full-time contract. The post builds and manages employer and institutional partnerships across Africa and globally, expands placement opportunities for refugee graduates, acts as the main liaison with Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program university partners and supports targets for placements and trainee enrolment by 2028. Applicants need experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, project coordination and widening participation, and familiarity with refugee professional advancement, economic inclusion and African higher education is highly desirable.

The Transitions Manager (Professional Pathways Pillar) designs and delivers employability and career readiness services for graduates affected by forced displacement, including one-to-one coaching, workshops, help with applications and technical guidance to university and employer partners, and helps develop and supervise a growing careers function. Applicants need significant experience in career guidance, employability, talent development or workforce transition, experience supporting refugees or people facing employment barriers, knowledge of African labour markets and strong cultural humility.

Applicants should read the relevant job description and apply through the RLRH recruitment platform.
