The work entails conducting research on weather drivers, carrying out population modelling, engaging in demography and ecological forecasting, and producing and testing statistical tools.

Requirements

Applicants will work collaboratively as part of different teams, which include the SPI-Birds development team and Dr Emily Simmonds' group at the University of Edinburgh. The role involves contributing to the overall direction of the research project, developing new ideas and approaches, and disseminating research outputs through R package development and academic publications. Responsibilities also include participating in cross-sector workshops with policy and conservation organisations.
