Postdoctoral Fellow - Structural Biology and Cytoskeletal Remodeling - Chaaban Lab
Overview
The Francis Crick Institute is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for the Cytoskeletal Coordination Laboratory, which opens in January 2027. This position focuses on structural biology and cytoskeletal remodeling, specifically examining how molecular machines build, remodel, and dismantle the cytoskeleton during cell division. The successful candidate will be an early member of the lab, helping to shape the research programme, establish experimental approaches, and contribute to the research environment. The role is based at the Francis Crick Institute on Midland Road in London, United Kingdom.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a PhD, or be in the final stages of submitting a PhD, in structural biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, or a related discipline. Candidates need experimental expertise in protein biochemistry and cryo-electron microscopy, covering sample preparation and data collection. Additionally, applicants must have experience in designing experiments, applying statistical analysis, interpreting data, troubleshooting research problems, and communicating research clearly through presentations and scientific writing.
What you get
The position offers a salary starting from £47,500 per annum alongside a range of benefits to support staff well-being and development. The contract is full-time and fixed-term for a duration of four years, operating on-site at the institute in London.
