Overview

One Acre Fund is hiring a Procurement Senior Coordinator in Nairobi, Kenya, to support the sourcing and delivery of agricultural and non-agricultural products used across its operations. The role covers procurement for Solar and Non-Agricultural farmer inputs, making sure products are bought competitively, meet quality standards and arrive on time. One Acre Fund was founded in 2006 and works with smallholder farmers across Africa, supporting about 5.5 million farmers in nine countries with more than 9,000 full-time staff, offering inputs, tree seedlings, credit and agronomic training.

What you will do

The coordinator develops and runs procurement strategies for Solar and Non-Ag products, aiming for strong on-time, in-full delivery, cost savings, quality and well-managed orders and payments. They coordinate taxes, duties, customs clearance and freight so goods reach warehouses on schedule, negotiate, build purchasing frameworks and manage contracts, and monitor quality so defective or non-compliant products do not reach farmers. They also manage supplier relationships and performance, keep internal stakeholders informed on orders and payments, resolve procurement and payment issues, research the market, identify alternative suppliers and substitute products, and refine procurement workflows.

Requirements

Applicants need strong supply chain and operations experience, understanding of importation policies and practices, procurement and negotiation expertise, analytical and decision-making skills, collaboration and communication skills, the ability to handle several deadlines, and attention to detail. The application asks for examples of managing supplier relationships, coordinating imports and leading negotiations. The post is open only to Kenyan citizens or permanent residents of Kenya.

What you get

Benefits include health insurance and paid time off, along with manager check-ins, mentorship, training, performance feedback and career reviews every six months.

How to apply

Apply through the One Acre Fund recruitment platform with a CV and answers about procurement experience, supplier relationships, importation and negotiation, plus education, experience, language proficiency and work authorisation. Responses should reflect your own experience and not be AI-generated. One Acre Fund never asks applicants to pay money or pay for tests.

Key dates

The deadline is 13 December 2026, though applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the post is filled.
