Overview

The NVIDIA Autonomous Vehicle Applied Research team is hiring a Research Intern for Summer 2027, focusing on generative world models and synthetic data for self-driving systems. This full-time position is based at the company headquarters in Santa Clara, California. Interns work alongside researchers and engineers to build models that can understand, simulate, and reason about complex driving environments, utilizing generative techniques to create diverse, safety-critical, and rare long-tail driving scenarios.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open to students currently pursuing a master of science or doctor of philosophy degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, robotics, or a related field. Applicants must have research experience in deep learning, computer vision, generative modeling, multimodal learning, robotics, or autonomous driving, along with strong foundations in machine learning and Python skills combined with experience using modern deep learning frameworks.

What you get

The position offers a paid hourly rate ranging from 20 to 71 USD per hour, with the exact amount determined by factors such as position, location, year in school, degree, and experience. Interns are also eligible to receive intern benefits.
