Newborn Brain Society (NBS) is a nonprofit that works so that every newborn has access to optimal brain care. It brings together clinicians, scientists, researchers and families worldwide, supports more than 1,500 members, runs international educational programs and organizes a hybrid global conference on outcomes for newborns at risk of brain injury. It is seeking a full-time Executive Director to lead its operations, programs, partnerships and global community engagement. The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States.
The Executive Director is the senior staff leader and the main staff liaison to the President and Board of Directors. Duties include implementing strategic plans, overseeing membership growth, engagement and communications, managing contractors and consultants, supporting the annual hybrid conference, building relationships with members, healthcare professionals, researchers and partners, overseeing budgets and financial reporting, developing partnerships with foundations and sponsors, improving systems and tools, and keeping records and contracts organized.
Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, healthcare administration, communications or a related field, and at least five years of progressive experience in nonprofit management, healthcare organizations, scientific societies or mission-driven organizations. They should have managed programs, operations, communications and finances, worked with boards, committees and volunteers, supervised staff or contractors, handled budgets and reporting, and be able to work independently from home. Experience with healthcare associations, neonatal medicine or neuroscience, advocacy, membership growth and strategic partnerships is an advantage, as is familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing, website content management, Google Workspace, project management platforms and Canva.

Salary starts at $70,000 per year.
