Overview
ORBIS International is hiring a fully remote Product Portfolio Manager, open to candidates anywhere in the world, to support Cybersight, its digital health platform. Cybersight offers eye care professionals telemedicine, online learning, webinars, clinical education tools and AI-enabled tools. ORBIS is a global nonprofit working to prevent avoidable blindness, with programmes in more than 200 countries and territories. The manager sits in the Telehealth team and reports to the Director of AI and Software Engineering, helping make sure the digital products serve healthcare professionals and communities, particularly in low- and middle-income settings.
What the role involves
The manager supports product testing and improvement, including user acceptance testing, identifying risks and improvement opportunities, and evaluating user experience. The role also contributes to product strategy and roadmaps, prioritising improvements while balancing user needs, technical requirements, organisational goals and resources. It involves working with country teams, medical advisors, healthcare professionals, mentors, technology teams and external partners to gather feedback and turn it into priorities. The manager supports business requirements documents, product specifications, cross-functional planning, development and release activities, acting as a bridge between technical teams and programme users.
Requirements
Applicants need a degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, and at least 5 years in product management, digital product delivery, business analysis or similar roles. Experience should include managing or supporting multiple digital products, gathering and prioritising requirements, working with software development teams, and web-based and mobile-responsive SaaS applications. Advantages include digital health, global health programmes, healthcare technology, low- and middle-income contexts, AI-enabled products, clinical decision support tools, cloud technologies such as AWS and Cloudflare, and agile environments. Useful skills include prioritisation, strategic decision-making, stakeholder management, user-centred design, clear communication and working effectively in remote teams.
