Overview
CURE International, a mission-driven healthcare organization providing specialised medical care to children and families around the world, is hiring a Director of Knowledge Management. The role is remote but requires international travel to CURE hospitals. The Director leads the development, organisation and sharing of operational knowledge across the global hospital network so that hospitals in different countries can rely on consistent guidance and proven practice.
What the role involves
Central to the job is the CURE Way, the operating manual covering clinical care standards, hospital operations, people operations, administration systems, spiritual ministry practices and organisational procedures. The Director leads its development and improvement, sets up knowledge management processes, establishes content ownership and approval structures, manages review cycles for policies and procedures, and builds roadmaps. The Director also creates policies, procedures, playbooks and guidance, helps leaders document best practice, and sets consistent documentation frameworks. On the systems side, the role covers training and communication strategies, supporting adoption of the CURE Way, working with technology teams on knowledge platforms, keeping resources searchable and monitoring usage, and working with People Operations to bring knowledge into onboarding, leadership development and performance processes. The Director also captures lessons learned, keeps institutional knowledge through leadership transitions and develops a New Hospital Launch Playbook for future hospitals.
Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor's degree in knowledge management, organizational development, health administration, business administration or a related field, with a master's preferred, and progressive leadership experience in knowledge management, organizational effectiveness, operational excellence or programme management. Experience should include operational manuals and documentation systems, policies and procedures, enterprise standards, cross-functional initiatives, organisational change and turning complex information into practical guidance. Strong writing and the ability to work with diverse teams are essential. Advantages include healthcare or hospital operations, international NGOs, multi-site organisations, knowledge management, document management and learning management systems, change management, multi-country experience and French.
