Overview

MCD Global Health is accepting expressions of interest from qualified professionals for prospective specialist assignments under the Gavi 6.0 framework. This recruitment initiative aims to identify experts who can support efforts to strengthen national immunization programmes, improve equitable access to vaccines, and enhance health systems. The Gavi 6.0 framework agreement remains active until December 31, 2030, with potential assignments arising between 2026 and 2030. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Who can apply

Candidates must have at least eight years of relevant professional experience in immunization, along with professional experience in Benin, Madagascar, Mozambique, or Uganda. Applicants must possess the appropriate academic qualifications and technical expertise for their chosen specialist category and must be able to travel extensively within the relevant countries when required by assignments. Remote opportunities may be available, though extensive travel may still be necessary.

What you get

Successful candidates will be identified as qualified specialists to support potential assignments under MCD Global Health's awarded supplier status for the Gavi 6.0 framework. The initiative offers competitive salaries that are not specified. Submitting an application is a call for potential candidates and does not guarantee immediate employment or a contract.

Requirements

Applicants must apply for one of two distinct specialist categories. Immunization Service Delivery Specialists require an advanced degree in medicine, public health, epidemiology, or a related field, alongside experience supporting national immunization programmes, improving vaccination service delivery, reaching zero-dose children, and working with Ministries of Health or international partners. Data, Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and AEFI Specialists require an advanced degree in statistics, information technology, public health, economics, or a related field, with expertise in data systems, monitoring and evaluation, programme learning, vaccine safety surveillance, adverse events following immunization response, pharmacovigilance, and digital health information interventions.

How to apply

Interested professionals must submit an updated CV and a brief cover letter of no more than one page through the official MCD Global Health recruitment portal. The cover letter must outline the candidate's availability during 2026 and 2027, anticipated level of effort or work commitment, relevant immunization experience, technical specialisation, academic qualifications, and experience in one or more of the eligible countries.

Key dates

The application deadline is 31 October 2026. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Potential assignments may arise between 2026 and 2030 under a framework agreement active until 31 December 2030.
