Lecturer in Veterinary Medicine (Pathology)

This full-time and permanent academic position involves contributing to the design, development, and delivery of the undergraduate programme in Veterinary Medicine. Located primarily at the Waterford Campus along with Teagasc Kildalton College, the role aims to support animal welfare, learners, and the veterinary sector while advancing the core values of the institution.

Requirements

Applicants are expected to bring veterinary pathology knowledge and skills to the teaching, assessment strategies, academic direction, and administration of courses. The appointee must engage in research, consultancy, and development work, participate in relevant committees, maintain appropriate records, support student recruitment, and take part in academic quality assurance arrangements. Additional responsibilities include supervising postgraduate students, directing tutor and demonstrator work, and carrying out duties assigned by management under authorized collective agreements.
