KREASI Research, Learning and Knowledge Management Manager Job 2026
Overview
Save the Children is hiring a Research, Learning and Knowledge Management Manager for its KREASI programme. The post is permanent and full time, and it provides senior technical leadership on research, learning, knowledge management, evidence generation and policy influence, with a focus on foundational learning in low-resource settings. The manager leads the finalization and implementation of the KREASI Research and Learning Agenda, aligned with baseline findings, Save the Children priorities, Global Partnership for Education evidence priorities and complementary initiatives in Indonesia.
Responsibilities include advising senior programme leadership, managing the Research External Consultant, identifying priority research areas, building collaborations with ministries, universities and research institutions, and collecting and documenting lessons through learning events, reflection sessions and knowledge exchanges. The manager maintains a knowledge management system and works with communications and advocacy colleagues to turn findings into policy briefs, position papers and presentations. The role also strengthens the research capacity of implementing partners and builds relationships with government, think tanks and groups such as DFAT INOVASI, GPE and UNICEF.
Requirements
Applicants need a master's degree in education, social research, public policy, international development, statistics or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least seven years. A PhD is an asset. Candidates should have five to seven years of progressively responsible experience designing and managing research and learning agendas, preferably in education or foundational learning in low- and middle-income countries.
Strong knowledge of qualitative, quantitative and mixed-method research is required, along with experience in ethical research involving children and an understanding of Indonesia's education system and policy landscape. Excellent written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English are essential. Commitment to child rights, safeguarding, data protection and informed consent is expected.
