Overview
INTERSOS is recruiting a Regional Programme Coordinator for its Regional Office for Emergency (ROE), which currently covers Afghanistan, Ukraine and Sudan. The post is home-based within the GMT, CET or EET time zones, with frequent field missions. It is a 12-month renewable contract starting on 16 November 2026.
The coordinator supports humanitarian programme implementation and makes sure regional strategies fit organisational goals and donor requirements. Tasks include contributing to country strategic plans, implementation plans, project proposals and fundraising strategies, helping with context analysis and feasibility studies, developing regional action plans, following up on programme documentation, donor reports and audits, contributing to MEAL planning, setting key performance indicators, monitoring country office performance and visiting the field regularly. The coordinator also supports relationships with donors and partners, represents INTERSOS in meetings, helps recruit Programme Coordinators, organises regional meetings, covers staffing gaps and prepares performance reviews.
What you get
The listed salary is 39,000 to 45,000 euros gross per year.
Requirements
Applicants need an advanced university degree in social sciences, international relations, NGO management or a related field, though equivalent experience may be considered. At least five years of field experience managing humanitarian programmes in complex settings is required, including budget management, project design, donor compliance and reporting, plus strong technical competence in protection and education in emergencies. Representation and negotiation skills, monitoring tools, ICT literacy, analytical and strategic thinking, leadership and people management, and the ability to work in multicultural settings are expected. Fluent English and French are required, and Italian is an advantage.
