IDinsight Seeks an Associate & Senior Associate 2026 Across Asia and Africa

Overview

IDinsight is building a talent pool for Associate and Senior Associate roles. It is a global nonprofit data and evidence advisory organisation that works with governments, philanthropies, NGOs, multilaterals and funders to improve social outcomes, in sectors such as agriculture, education, health, governance, sanitation and financial inclusion. This is an evergreen opportunity: applications are accepted continuously, reviewed on a rolling basis and kept in the pool for about 6 to 12 months. Candidates are contacted when a suitable position opens. Joining the pool is not an employment offer. There is no deadline.

Associates and Senior Associates are early-career professionals who work on social and development projects. Their work combines project management, research, data analysis, client engagement, fieldwork and communications. They coordinate workflows, manage deliverables, support research design and data collection, carry out technical analysis, and write reports, slide decks, policy briefs and presentations that turn evidence into practical recommendations. Field duties can include managing data collection teams, monitoring data quality and travelling to project sites, including remote and rural communities.

Who can apply

IDinsight considers people from many backgrounds, such as economics, data science, public policy, development, engineering, environmental science and political science. Strong analytical ability is essential, with exposure to econometrics, data analysis and research methods, along with strong writing, organisation and adaptability. Experience with Stata, SPSS, R, SurveyCTO or Open Data Kit is desirable, and so is familiarity with local context and languages. Successful candidates are generally expected to commit for at least two years.
