IDinsight Hiring Associate/Senior Associate for AI Transformation Across Africa and Asia| 2026 Global Opportunity
Overview
IDinsight, a global nonprofit that works with governments, NGOs, foundations and social enterprises across Africa and Asia, is hiring an Associate or Senior Associate for AI Transformation. The organisation helps leaders use data, evidence and technology in areas such as health, education, agriculture, livelihoods, finance, energy and governance. In this role the person helps IDinsight and its partners find where AI can create real value while accounting for privacy, ethics, quality and how organisations behave.
What the role involves
The work is practical rather than software engineering. Duties include managing project workstreams, preparing presentations and technical documents, supporting clients and turning AI concepts into recommendations. The postholder identifies organisational problems AI could address by interviewing users and mapping processes, builds and refines AI agents on platforms such as CustomGPTs, Claude Projects and Gems, designs low-code workflows with tools like Zapier, Make or n8n, and organises institutional knowledge for AI systems. They also lead workshops, produce guides and videos, support internal AI champions, test tools for hallucinations and bias, and contribute to AI governance frameworks.
Who can apply
IDinsight seeks about 2 to 6 years of experience in consulting, product operations or digital transformation, comfort with generative AI, and experience with no-code agents and automations. Change management, user research, product thinking and workshop facilitation are also valued, along with advanced Excel or Google Sheets. SQL, R or Python is an advantage, as is experience in low-income countries or in nonprofits, research organisations, consulting firms or foundations. A data science background and heavy coding are not required.
What you get
The post is based in Rabat, Dakar, Lusaka, Nairobi, New Delhi or Manila, with a preference for New Delhi, and applicants elsewhere must relocate. IDinsight can sponsor employment visas for all nationalities, though those already authorised to work locally may be preferred. Benefits include mentorship, a professional development plan and budget, international health insurance, paid vacation, sick and parental leave, relocation assistance, travel support and technology and work-from-home stipends. A minimum one-year commitment is required.
How to apply
Applicants send a one- to two-page CV, a customised cover letter and three professional references with contact details and the capacity in which they worked with each.
