ICC Document Management Assistant Job 2026: G-4 Position in The Hague with €45,408 Salary
Overview
The International Criminal Court (ICC) is recruiting a Document Management Assistant at the G-4 level in The Hague, Netherlands. The post is in the Language Services Section, which provides translation, revision, editing and interpretation services for the organs of the Court and supports terminology management, language tools and interpreter recruitment and training. Working under the Translation Coordination Assistant and the Head of the Translation Support and Terminology Unit, the assistant helps manage the workflow of translation requests and related documents.

The minimum net annual salary is €45,408. The post is an established one with an initial two-year appointment, possible extension and a six-month probationary period. A roster of suitable candidates may also be set up for future fixed-term appointments against established posts and general temporary assistance positions.
Who can apply
Applicants need a secondary education diploma and at least four years of progressively responsible professional experience, preferably in clerical and administrative assistance or document and information management. Experience in a language services environment is an advantage, and a university degree can replace two years of experience for eligibility. The post must be filled by a national of an ICC State Party, or of a state that has signed and is engaged in ratifying or acceding to the Rome Statute. The selected candidate undergoes a Personnel Security Clearance process, including a criminal record check, and the ICC particularly encourages applications from women.
Requirements
Proficiency in English or French is required, with working knowledge of the other desirable, and Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Dutch or languages related to cases before the Court may help. The ICC looks for document-processing knowledge, excellent Microsoft application skills, accuracy, planning, prioritization, working under pressure, communication, independence, teamwork in a multicultural setting, client orientation, tact, confidentiality, technological awareness and flexibility.
Duties include managing the workflow of translation requests and providing technical support, helping staff and requesters submit requests, guiding staff in using workflow tools, setting document security in the electronic records system, processing requests from receipt to delivery, updating databases to prevent duplicate translation, distributing translation, editing, revision, proofreading and correction assignments, outsourcing work to external translators, producing statistics and reports and helping test and develop workflow tools.
