High-Paying Remote Leadership Role: DEPLOY/US Seeks Senior Director of Finance & Operations | Salary Up to $180K

Overview

DEPLOY/US, a national nonprofit that strengthens bipartisan climate and energy leadership, is hiring a Senior Director of Finance and Operations. It builds capacity, amplifies voices and expands the impact of civic organisations and leaders working for ambitious, durable decarbonisation policies. The position is full-time and fully remote, open to people residing in the continental United States, with a salary of $150,000 to $180,000 per year depending on experience. The Senior Director is the organisation's senior finance leader, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and is responsible for financial health, operational effectiveness, compliance and sustainability. Financial duties include budgeting, forecasting, planning and reporting, grants, contracts and restricted funds, cash flow, audits, tax and regulatory reporting, internal controls and presenting analysis and scenarios to executives and the board in terms non-financial audiences can follow. Operations duties include improving systems, processes, technology and compliance, payroll and benefits administration, vendor relationships and HR operations. The role supervises and develops the Senior Accountant.

Requirements

Applicants need a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, at least 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, experience leading finance functions and supervising staff, strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, GAAP and financial reporting, and experience managing audits, cash flow and internal controls. They should communicate financial information clearly, solve problems analytically and work independently in a remote setting. A CPA or master's degree, experience managing affiliated nonprofit entities, work with advocacy organisations or public policy initiatives, knowledge of campaign finance rules and experience with climate, energy or environmental organisations are preferred.
