Overview

WeWorld is inviting applications for its Head of Programmes Roster, for assignments in various countries. It targets experienced programme professionals who can support both development and emergency programmes and are available for short-notice deployments when gaps arise. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed, and those selected join a roster that may be contacted when a need appears. Being on the roster does not guarantee an assignment. The roster stays active for the ongoing year and may be renewed by mutual agreement. Location and start date depend on programme needs.

What you get

Assignments are short or medium term. The base salary is 3,190 to 3,790 euros gross per month, with additional contributions reflecting the role's complexity and the hardship level of the duty station. The package includes health insurance, a covered flight ticket, coverage of visa or work permit costs and one day of paid menstrual leave per month. WeWorld promotes an inclusive working environment based on respect, psychological safety and team empowerment.

Good knowledge of the procedures of major donors including the EU, AICS and the UN, good Microsoft Office skills and fluent English are required. Strong management, organisational, analytical and planning skills, flexibility, independence, negotiation ability and cultural, gender, religious and age sensitivity are expected. The Head of Programmes supervises ongoing projects in the country, ensures compliance with donor requirements and strategy, leads and supports Programme Managers, MEAL teams and Technical Experts, supervises staff, contributes to country strategy, leads design of new projects including needs assessments, logical frameworks, proposals and budgets, oversees donor reports, and represents the organisation in coordination forums, sector working groups and clusters.
